With 9k to go, Cadel Evans confidently makes his move during Stage 3 of the 2008 Coppi e Bartali ending in a mountaintop win ( 38 big photos recently posted) in Pavullo by 32 seconds. His stage win also put him in the race leader's blue jersey for the rest of the race. He's at Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali again this year to defend his title.

Stage 3 preview: Queen Stage coming up

March 25 update: Although not a overly difficult stage by pro standards, stage 3 (Thursday) of Coppi e Bartali has more climbing than any other stage this week. With most of the climbing in the first half, it will be interesting to see if a select group of riders breaks away on the early climbs. March 22 update: Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali is a five-day, six stages race held in the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy. It's a 2.1HC (second-level) stage race with seven ProTour teams participating this year. The Marquee riders will be Evans, Rogers, Simeoni, Visconti, Cunego, Di Luca, Scarponi, Cancellara, Petacchi and Astarloa. The race runs March 24-28th and features one climbing stage, several hilly circuit stages, one stage for the sprinters and a team time-trial. See the race summary table for all the stage maps, profiles and timetables.

Check back for official team rosters, tv schedules and live streaming video as the race draws closer. During the event links to results, photos and video will be posted. — Steve
