June 17 update: As expected, Thursday's mountain stage has changed the face of the race. Out of Yellow is Tony Martin. In is the big man from Rabobank, Robert Gesink. After his dominating performance on the Albula Pass, Gesink has thirty seconds to one minute on the rest of the top 10. Now it's a matter of his Rabobank team keeping the race under control until the final day 27 km indivdual time trial.

Stage 7 returns back north to the Zürich area starting from Savognin, a small tourist town where the official language is Romansh. There is one cat 2 and two cat 3 climbs in the second half of the race including the circuit around Wetzikon. At the end of a hilly, twisty stage, the last 5 km are slightly downhill with the final km being flat. The 50% chance of rain for the finish could add some extra excitement. — Steve
