Gent-Wevelgem, the second cycling monument of the year is this Sunday. There are changes to the finish of this year's course that Mark Cavendish says make the 100 km much more difficult. The Kemmelberg (above) is 30 km from the finish.

2012 Ghent-Wevelgem Race Preview (Sunday March 25, 235 km)

10 years ago: the always colorful Mario Cipollini won a bunch sprint at Gent-Wevelgem, for his third and final time, ahead of Americans Fred Rodriguez and George Hincapie. Today, George Hincapie is again racing at Gent-Wevelgem which he won in 2001, Fast Freddie is racing for a domestic team in the U.S. and Cipollini is serious about coming out of retirement at the age of 45.
