July 19 update: Stage 19, the 54 km individual time-trial from Bonneval to Chartres near Paris, was suppose to be the decisive stage of this year's Tour; however, given the general classification after Stage 17, only one rider in the top 10, 9th place Janez Brajkovic, stands a good chance of moving up one or two positions.

The TT course is flat and untechnical, one for the power men. It will cut through farmland and the wind could be a big factor. As everyone should know, a TT in the third week of a Grand Tour is unpredictable, but generally climbers fair better than you'd normally expect. Look for Sky's Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome, first and second on GC and first and second in the other TT, to put an exclamation point on this year's race. — Steve
