The Belgian fans are getting ready: What happens in Flanders the morning of?April 4 update: This page provides essential information and links for the second big classic (monument) of the year, Ronde van Vlaanderen 2009 aka Tour of Flanders, which takes place this Sunday April 5th. At 264 km, it's a long race with 17 climbs many of which are steep and cobbled like the Koppenberg and The Muur. It's the favorite classic for many befitting the name of this site. Many consider it the real world championships; any of the crazy fans lining the narrow, cobbled climbs would certainly agree that it's more than just the biggest bike race in Belgium.
